DFB-Pokal
Bayer 04 have reached the final of the national cup competition at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin four times. The Werkself won the title in 1993 with a 1-0 win against the Hertha Berlin Reserves. The other finals were all lost, A 4-2 defeat against Schalke in 2002, a 1-0 defeat against Werder Bremen in 2009 and a 4-2 defeat against Bayern Munich in 2020.

DFB Pokal final: Sale of last ticket allocation to members
Bayer 04 are in the DFB Pokal final for the fifth time in the club’s history. The final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin is on Saturday 25 May with the kick-off at 20.00 CEST. After the majority of the ticket allocation available to Bayer 04 has been sold, a last ticket allocation from returns and previously blocked allocations now go on sale to members.

‘Cup handover’ at DFB Pokal final: Carro, Hradecky and Ballack in Berlin
The official countdown for the final between the Werkself and FC Kaiserslautern has started with just under two weeks to go before the 81st DFB Pokal final (25 May, 20.00 CEST). At the Cup handover in the Red Town Hall in Berlin, the current holders RB Leipzig handed over the DFB Pokal to the DFB and the City of Berlin on Monday. Representatives of both finalists were present at the event. Bayer 04 CEO Fernando Carro, captain Lukas Hradecky and Leverkusen’s Pokal ambassador Michael Ballack together with representatives of FC Kaiserslautern talked about the sporting highlight for both finalists rounding off an eventful season for both clubs.

Ballack to be DFB Pokal ambassador for Bayer 04
Michael Ballack will represent the Bayer 04 as DFB Pokal ambassador for the upcoming final against Kaiserslautern. The former midfielder will be the official representative of the Bundesliga champions at the cup handover organised by the German FA (DFB) in Berlin on 13 May and at the showpiece at the Olympiastadion on 25 May.

Special train for fans to DFB Cup final in Berlin
On 25 May, the Werkself have the chance to follow up their Bundesliga title by winning the DFB Cup. The many travelling Bayer 04 fan are set to provide the necessary support for the clash against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. So that as many of you as possible can create an unforgettable atmosphere on the day, the Bayer 04 Club is offering travel for all holders of a ticket for the cup final. Supporters without a valid ticket are not entitled to apply for a place on the special train.

The 2023/24 season is nearly here: Bayer 04 return to competitive football on Saturday 12 August (kick-off: 15.30 CEST) after a four-week preseason. The Werkself are away to FC Teutonia 05 Ottensen in the first round of the DFB Cup played at the Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg.
