Bayer 04 has reached the final of the national cup competition in Berlin's Olympic Stadium five times. In 1993, the Werkself won the title with a 1:0 victory against the amateurs of Hertha BSC. In the 2023/24 season, the Werkself lifted the DFB Cup for a second time in the club's history with a 1-0 win against 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
The exact dates for the second round of the 2025/26 DFB Pokal have been finalised. Accordingly, Bayer 04's away match at Bundesliga 2 side SC Paderborn 07 will be played on Wednesday, 29 October at 18:00 CET (live on Sky). This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB) today, Wednesday.
