Accreditation

General information

From the 2025/26 season, Bayer 04 is moving to an online accreditation portal. All accreditation requests for Werkself home games in all competitions (Bundesliga, UEFA, DFB) can only be submitted via this portal.

TO THE ACCREDITATION PORTAL

After a one-off registration and setting up a profile on the portal, it will be possible to apply for accreditation to one or more forthcoming Werkself home games with just a few clicks. A step-by-step guide is available HERE.

A press card and/or editorial authorisation is required to register on the portal. Only full-time sports photographers and sports journalists with bone fide editorial authorisation can be accredited. Verification can be made by presentation of a nationwide press card issued by professional associations for full-time journalists (VDS, DJV) recognised by the German Press Council. Verification for international media representatives can be made by presentation of an AIPS press card. Bayer 04 reserves the right to reject applications made without the relevant documentation.

By applying for accreditation media representatives agree to the club media guidelines as well as the media requirements for the relevant competitions. The current DFL requirements are available (only in German language avaiable) HERE.

Deadlines

Media representatives will receive a response to the status of their request after the deadline at the latest. Accreditation requests for Bundesliga fixtures must be submitted on the portal at the latest by the Monday (15:00 CEST/CET) before the relevant matchday. For European competitions the Thursday before the game applies. For all other matches (e.g. the DFB Pokal) accreditation requests must be entered on the portal five working days before the relevant game.

After expiry of the deadline, the matchdays will no longer be available for registration on the accreditation portal. Detailed queries after the deadline cannot be considered. Questions or changes due to illness can be submitted after the deadline to medien@bayer04.de.

Matchday

Parking: Providing a parking permit has been applied for in the accreditation request, members of the media can use the car park marked on the parking permit attached to the confirmation email. Directions are available HERE.
Please note: The parking permit file can only be opened on mobile phones (Android or iPhone) in the wallet and not on computers.
Admission: Using the QR code attached to the confirmation email, members of the media can print off their accreditation on matchdays at the TV compound (at car park P3) by scanning the QR code at the accreditation point. The accreditation will be printed off immediately.

Accreditation must be visible, is individually allocated and not transferable.
For reasons of sustainability Bayer 04 will not issue lanyards. We request you provide your own lanyard and cover to wear the accreditation.
