4-0 against Düsseldorf – Superb Werkself celebrate reaching the final of the DFB Pokal
Job done: Bayer 04 have beaten Fortuna Düsseldorf 4-0 in the semi-final of the DFB Pokal to reach the final for the first time in four years. An early goal by Jeremie Frimpong (8') opened the scoring for the Werkself, who were dominant right from the kick-off. Amine Adli (20') and Florian Wirtz (36') extended the lead in the first half, before Wirtz wrapped things up with a penalty (60') to make it 4-0. Head coach Xabi Alonso's team will now battle it out in the final against 1. FC Kaiserslautern at Berlin's Olympiastadion on 25 May.
