
Germany will play two friendly matches against Ukraine and Greece before kicking off the Euros, with three Werkself players in the preliminary squad in Robert Andrich, Jonathan Tah and Florian Wirtz.
Granit Xhaka and Switzerland have two warm-up games against Estonia and Austria, while Alejandro Grimaldo and Spain take on Andorra and Northern Ireland. Jeremie Frimpong will face Canada and Iceland with the Netherlands, and Josip Stanisic’s Croatia play against Macedonia and Portugal. The Czech trio of Patrik Schick, Adam Hlozek and Matej Kovar warm up against Malta and Macedonia.
Lukas Hradecky and Finland didn’t qualify for Euro 2024 but play two friendlies against Portugal and Scotland. The latter face Germany in the tournament’s match in Munich on Friday, 14 June.
As for Exequiel Palacios and Piero Hincapie, they will be representing Argentina and Ecuador respectively at the Copa America. The Werkself teammates play against each other as their first friendly opponent. World champions Argentina will then face Guatemala; Hincapie and his team play Bolivia and Honduras.
