Jonathan Tah goes to a private gym in his own time or regularly puts in extra shifts on holiday. Despite his imposing physicality, the model athlete also has a very soft side. The 6' 5"defender, who is one of the fastest players in the league in his position, also dedicates time as an ambassador to the DFB Egidius Braun Foundation and the Hopp Children's Tumour Centre (KiTZ) in Heidelberg: "I want to play my part, motivate and try to help as best I can," said Tah who has already made over ten international appearances for Germany.
The German Football League (DFL) has launched the vote for the Bundesliga Team of the Season. As of now, fans of the Werkself can select no fewer than eight Bayer 04 players in the top XI of the 2023/24 campaign: on the shortlist are Lukas Hradecky, Jonathan Tah, Jeremie Frimpong, Alejandro Grimaldo, Granit Xhaka, Exequiel Palacios, Florian Wirtz and Victor Boniface.
