The Czech could look back to the summer of his life in 2020. In July, Patrik Schick married his girlfriend Hana, in August he reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with RB Leipzig and in September the Czechia international signed a long-term contract with Bayer 04 to 2025. The striker, who learned German for four years at school, knows all about challenges: At the age of 20, he left his home city of Prague and moved to Italy. Sampdoria, AS Roma – followed by the 12-month loan to Leipzig and finally being signed by Bayer Leverkusen. Schick on signing for the Werkself: "Bayer 04 play attacking and aggressive football. Those are things I like."

‘Keep the pressure on our rivals’: Schick wants UCL qualification
In his personal assessment of the past few days, Patrik Schick was decidedly modest when he spoke of a "nice week". The striker certainly had reason to be cheerful: Firstly, he secured his World Cup ticket with Czechia in spectacular fashion thanks to two victories on penalties, before securing an important home win with the Werkself against VfL Wolfsburg - and on top of that, clocking up two remarkable individual stats.

Patrik Schick sidelined due to injury
Bayer 04 Leverkusen will have to manage without centre-forward Patrik Schick for the next few games. The Czechia international suffered a thigh injury shortly before the end of yesterday's 2-1 win at FC St. Pauli. Schick should be able to return to the Werkself squad for the Bundesliga away game at Mainz 05 on 18 October.

Top striker Patrik Schick agrees new deal to 2030
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have extended the contract with Czechia international Patrik Schick. The striker has signed a contract to 30 June 2030 with the current Bundesliga runners-up. The existing contract between the Champions League side and the Leverkusen top striker of recent years was due to run to the summer of 2027.

Seven Werkself players nominated for Bundesliga Team of the Season
The video games manufacturer Electronic Arts (EA) in conjunction with the German Football League (DFL) have started the vote for the annual Bundesliga Team of the Season. Werkself fans now have the opportunity to put forward seven Bayer 04 players for the top eleven in the 2024/25 Bundesliga season. Florian Wirtz, Granit Xhaka, Jonathan Tah, Piero Hincapie, Patrik Schick, Jeremie Frimpong and Alejandro Grimaldo are in the vote. Voting ends on Sunday, 27 April (19:59 CEST).
