Perfect view from every seat
Hardly any other stadium in the Bundesliga offers such proximity to the action on the pitch. The distance from the seat furthest to the centre spot is 94 metres – and that with a total capacity of 30,210. It is rare to experience top-class football as closely as at the BayArena. A new era began with the start of the stadium's rebuild on 14 December 2007, which was mainly aimed at modernisation and comfort. A state-of-the-art sports venue has arisen out of the little gem of a ground. Ultras as well as visiting fans, CEOs and families are all equally welcome at our home.

DIRECTIONS
On matchdays, traffic flow around the BayArena is changed to protect the residents in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. A comprehensive traffic management plan, which Bayer 04 has developed in association with representatives of the City of Leverkusen, the police and other experts, has been implemented and is constantly updated. Bayer 04 asks all visitors travelling by car to use the free car park at the Kurtekotten shuttle bus terminus.
Fanwelt
The 700 square-metre shopping and fan experience with the best view of the pitch at the BayArena, which opened in November 2024, is a special attraction for all Werkself fans. Bayer 04 fans cannot only discover a comprehensive range of merchandise. The Fanwelt also has special interactive experiences for all fans as well as the opportunity to get up close to the trophies won by the Werkself.

PAYMENT system
Payments at the BayArena are contactless. You can now easily pay at the BayArena using your Girocard (formerly EC card) or your credit card as well as via mobile payment using Apple Pay and Google Pay. If your Girocard or credit card does not support contactless payments, you can pay in the normal way at all sales points.

New seating for the BayArena - donation and reuse of existing seats
A fresh look for the BayArena: The Bayer 04 stadium will have new seating in the form of folding seats for the 2026/27 campaign that will ensure significantly improved seating comfort and simplified movement within the rows of seats. As part of routine replacement after 17 years, fans of the Werkself were able to purchase the existing seats, used to witness the first German league title in the club's history. In addition, a large proportion of the seats will be donated to charitable projects, primarily in the local region. Bayer 04 fans can look forward to new, functional folding seats for the season opener at the beginning of August - still in the club colours of black and red, of course. Runner-up for Pitch of the Year: Bayer 04 again recognised for outstanding pitch quality
Another award for the Bayer 04 head groundsman and staff: After coming top in the 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2024/25 seasons, the BayArena pitch came second in the Bundesliga Pitch of the Year ranking for the 2025/26 season. VfL Wolfsburg secured the top spot this year, with TSG Hoffenheim in third place.

The United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is celebrated worldwide on 3 December. Together with Bayer AG, Bayer 04 is once again setting an example for diversity and inclusion by lighting up the BayArena in purple in the evening.

Closer to the home end: Home bench at the BayArena towards North Stand
For the Bundesliga 2025/26 opener against TSG Hoffenheim at the BayArena on Saturday, Erik ten Hag, his coaches, staff and substitutes will be even closer to the home end. From now, the Bayer 04 team will be nearer to the North Stand after coming on.

From 2026/27: Aramark joins Bayer 04 as new catering partner – modern catering concept at the BayArena
Bayer 04 Leverkusen fans can look forward to a new catering concept at Werkself home games in the BayArena from summer 2026 onwards. Full-service caterer Aramark will be responsible for catering in the public and hospitality areas of the Leverkusen stadium and in the Schwadbud from the start of the 2026/27 season. In addition, the Frankfurt-based company will also provide catering for all conferences and other events at the BayArena.
