Traffic flow around the BayArena on matchdays has changed to protect the residents in the immediate proximity to the stadium. A comprehensive traffic management plan, which Bayer 04 have developed in association with representatives of the City of Leverkusen, the police and other experts, has been implemented and is constantly updated. Bayer 04 asks all visitors travelling by car to use the free car park at the Kurtekotten shuttle bus terminus.

By car

Once again this season, construction sites in Leverkusen and the surrounding areas are creating new challenges with regard to the traffic situation.

BayArena visitors are advised to take the A1 from both directions at the Leverkusen junction and join the A3 towards Frankfurt, taking the Leverkusen exit and following the signs to the shuttle bus parking area.

Shuttle bus

Bayer 04 offers fans free parking at the Kurtekotten - at the "Chempark" S-Bahn station - from two hours before the start of the match. The car parks can be reached via Otto-Bayer Straße (Cologne).

From two hours before kick-off, shuttle buses will start travelling from Kurtekotten to the BayArena, ending at the street "Am Stadtpark". From there, it is a short walk to the stadium.

After the match, the buses will be available at the same location until two hours after the final whistle for the transfer back to the car parks.

Train

Even though the bus station at Leverkusen-Mitte station has since been completed, there may still be restrictions in the vicinity of the station in the future.

Due to construction work, there may always be changes to travel to the BayArena by Deutsche Bahn. Current information and timetables should therefore be checked on the Deutsche Bahn AG website before visiting the stadium.

  • Leverkusen-Mitte train station (Heinrich-v.-Stephan-Str. 1, 51373 Leverkusen)

  • Opladen train station (Bahnhofstr., 51379 Leverkusen)

  • Leverkusen-Manfort train station (Moosweg 2, 51377 Leverkusen)

Taxi

The taxi rank is located on Flensburger Straße at the junction of Ratherkämp, just a few minutes' walk from the BayArena.

Disabled parking

The car park for people with severe disabilities is located next to the McDonald's opposite the BayArena. Access to this car park is only possible for people who present the blue EU-standardised parking badge.

We ask all other fans with disabilities who do not have the blue badge to use the free shuttle bus parking spaces at Kurtekotten.
