Attacking midfielder with striker qualities: Malik Tillman profile
Malik Tillman and the USA could not quite achieve the hoped-for big win in their own country. Last Monday’s final in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Houston ended up in a 2-1 defeat for the hosts against Mexico. But the Bayer 04 new signing can be very happy with the course of the tournament and his own performances. Tillman was in the starting line-up for all six games. Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed the USA international Malik Tillman. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Werkself from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven. Tillman, with German roots and born in Nuremberg, has a contract at Leverkusen to 30 June 2030. He scored 16 goals and provided five assists in 34 games for PSV last season. Three of those goals and two assists were in six matches in the UEFA Champions League.

First goal for Fudalla: Women's friendly against Zwolle ends all square
The second friendly and the first goal for the Bayer 04 Women: The Werkself just missed out on their first win in the preseason away to top-flight Dutch side PEC Zwolle. The team led by coach Roberto Pätzold drew 1-1 on Friday afternoon in Wezep. As with the friendly against TSG Hoffenheim (0-2) a number of first-team players were absent. The coach once again shared out time on the pitch for the 20-player squad. The goal of the match was scored by summer signing Vanessa Fudalla (67').

Germany through to Euro 2025 quarter-finals, Denmark go out
Mixed fortunes with one celebrating on her first start and the other disappointed in her first tournament appearance of her career. The clash between the two future teammates at the Women's Euro in Switzerland saw Carlotta Wamser progress to the quarter-finals with Germany thanks to a 2-1 win against Cornelia Kramer's Denmark team. The Scandinavian side have no chance of going through to the next round after two defeats in their first two group matches.

Bayer 04's service department reorganised
The 2023/24 double-winning season set new standards. Bayer 04 faced a number of challenges not only in sporting terms, but also operationally due to the increased number of enquiries. Unfortunately, the service provided was not always exemplary. In the meantime, however, the club has gone through a restructuring process. In recent months, not only have many organisational matters been initiated, but technical components have also been further developed - with a clear goal: to provide fast, competent and comprehensive help and information. Personal service has always been important to Bayer 04. And it has now been significantly optimised.

Continuity under the Cross: After the successful season in 2024/25 with reaching the final of the VBL Club Championship, the two Leverkusen e-sports players Marc and Sean Landwehr have extended their contracts at Bayer 04 by an additional two years. Marc is thereby in his sixth year and Sean in his third year with the Werkself. A brilliant weekend for the Leverkusen eSports players at the VBL CC finals in Cologne ended without the deserved reward. After the first day of the tournament with only victories in the group phase, Marc and Sean Landwehr overcame last year's champions SC Paderborn 07 at the semi-final stage on Sunday – but then lost in the final to the now sole VBL CC record champions RB Leipzig. Two days before the Bundestag elections, a democracy workshop initiated by Bayer 04 and organised in cooperation with the German Football League (DFL) took place on Friday 21 February at the BayArena for a class from the Leverkusen Realschule am Stadtpark. During the workshop, the young people learnt about participation in political processes and how important it is to vote when they reach the legal age.

Carro presents 2025 Sports Youth Volunteer award at Schloss Morsbroich
For the first time this year, the city of Leverkusen has awarded the Sports Youth Volunteer prize, which is aimed at particularly committed young volunteers in sport. 2024/25 season review, part I: High expectations of invincible double winners
With the clash at Mainz 05 on the 34th and final matchday of the 2024/25 Bundesliga, another eventful season came to an end. The German double winners’ special-edition jersey to mark the club’s 120th anniversary is reminiscent of the first kit worn by players back in the 1907/08 season.
