Bayer 04 Leverkusen have been active in the area of eSports since November 2017 and since then have had the target of playing a one-two between the football pitch and the virtual pitch.

Currently there are two talented eSports players, Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr and Sean ‘SEAN_LDW07’ Landwehr, in the B04eSports team. They represent the Black and Reds in national competitions such as the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) and the DFB ePokal as well as internationally in the EA Global Series. Their performance have already attracted great attention and firmly established Bayer 04 in eSports.

The strategic focus of the Leverkusen eSports section is based on three key areas: training, technical affinity and entertainment. These key points are not only firmly anchored in external communication but also within the team.
