#B04eSports: Runners-up together - PSG eSports players guests at UCL home match

Yesterday, Tuesday 21 October, the Leverkusen gamers hosted the eSports players of the reigning champions of the UEFA Champions League as part of the UEFA Champions League home match between the Werkself and Paris Saint-Germain. Like the #B04eSports team in the VBL Club Championship, PSG finished runners-up in the eLigue 1 Championship last season.

Before their VBL-CC duels, which the #B04eSports team played in the evening ahead of the UCL clash against Paris Saint-Germain, the Leverkusen gamers met up with the PSG eSports players for joint activities including an exhibition match live at the Fanwelt. The PSG squad includes some high-calibre players: Brice Masson, for example, finished second at the FC 25 World Cup in Saudi Arabia. Ilian Bouchi reached the top eight in the eChampions League in EA FC 25.

The eSports players also produced content together for the social media channels, enjoyed lunch together and watched the evening match. The PSG players also watched the Leverkusen team's VBL CC duels and followed their progress to the offline round of the first showdown. Click HERE for the report.

Marc Fiedler, Manager Product Development B2B and eSports at Bayer 04, commented on the eventful day with the PSG eSports players: "This collaboration is a good example of how football and eSports can be combined. Together with the PSG eSports team and Team Vitality, we have managed to bring the communities of both clubs together and create added value for both clubs."
