Torn hamstring ends season for Kevin Volland
The 2016/17 season has ended early for Kevin Volland. The Bayer 04 striker suffered a torn hamstring in his right leg at the end of last week in the buildup to the Rhine derby against FC Köln (2-2).
The diagnosis was the result of several examinations of the injured muscle both at the weekend as well as today. The aim now, after the second muscle injury this season, is to build up the 24-year-old so that Volland fully fit and available for the closed season ahead of the new campaign.

Bayer 04 sign top talent Kennet Eichhorn
Bayer 04 have signed 16-year-old defensive midfielder Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha Berlin. The Germany U17 international is joining the Werkself from the Berlin Bundesliga 2 club on a long-term contract. Eichhorn made 19 appearances for the Hertha Berlin first team last season, scoring two goals.
