Torn hamstring ends season for Kevin Volland
The 2016/17 season has ended early for Kevin Volland. The Bayer 04 striker suffered a torn hamstring in his right leg at the end of last week in the buildup to the Rhine derby against FC Köln (2-2).
The diagnosis was the result of several examinations of the injured muscle both at the weekend as well as today. The aim now, after the second muscle injury this season, is to build up the 24-year-old so that Volland fully fit and available for the closed season ahead of the new campaign.

Tickets are now on open sale for the first two Bundesliga home games for the Werkself at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium. A week after the season opener away to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, the Leverkusen Women play newly promoted Union Berlin on Monday, 15 September (18:00 CEST). Adli joins Bournemouth in Premier League
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have released the Morocco international Amine Adli from his contract and transferred the 25-year-old to AFC Bournemouth. Leverkusen agreed an immediate transfer of the striker with the English Premier League club with Adli's contract due to run out in the summer of 2028.
