The limited edition shirt has been developed in cooperation with our partners JAKO. The design is based on the kit for the 1978/79 season when Bayer 04 gained promotion to the Bundesliga. The Bayer Cross, with '04 Leverkusen' underneath, is placed on the chest exactly as in the promotion season. The inspiration for the V-shaped collar is historical but is also functional for use in the Bundesliga.
Both the main sponsor Barmenia Versicherungen and sleeve partner Kieser Training have agreed not have the branding on the shirt to reflect the traditional look. The special shirt is limited to 4,000 with each one numbered. A graphic with a consecutive number on the neck shows which unique item he or she has purchased. In addition, the numbers on the back reflect the design of the 1970s.
The shirt is available for a special price of €40. It can be purchased in the Bayer 04 shops or online at bayer04.de or by phone on 0049 (0) 214 5000 1904
