
Since mid-October, the A59 motorway in Leverkusen has been fully closed due to roadworks. The closure begins at the Düsseldorf-Süd junction and continues to the Richrath junction. For the current Bayer 04 Health Weeks (20 October to 10 November), numerous activities on the topics of health and sustainability will take place during the home match. Information stands from the Nordkurve charity and the ‘Young Heroes’ association on the subject of organ donation will be set up around the BayArena and at the Stadioneck bar. There will also be a half-time discussion. Another highlight: Anyone interested can get an organ donor card with the Bayer 04 logo on the concourse, and there will also be a first aid refresher stand and a blood pressure and blood sugar measuring point.
As part of the home game, The 180-page special edition of the 2023/24 double season fanzine ‘Reines Gewissen’ will be on sale at fan container at the east side of the BayArena (opposite Block C1). It highlights the numerous extraordinary stories which made that season unforgettable for all Bayer 04 fans. The magazine will be on sale when the stadium opens (13:30 CET) until just before kick-off. The fanzine costs six euros and can only be paid for in cash.
The Werkself are unbeaten in exactly three quarters of their 52 competitive matches against Freiburg to date. Bayer 04 have won 24 games, the last of which was at home last season thanks to a four-goal haul from Patrik Schick. The Black and Reds are also proving to be reliable scorers in this Bundesliga season, being the only club other than Bayern Munich to take the lead in every game and scoring the most goals in the opening quarter of an hour in the league.

Of the 19 games so far officiated by Harm Osmers, the Werkself have won eleven, drawn four and lost four. Bayer 04 have won all of their last five Bundesliga matches with Osmers in charge, including the 5-0 win over Werder Bremen, which secured the first league title in the club's history.
