
The Germany squad under coach Julian Nagelsmann includes the Werkself trio of Robert Andrich, Jonathan Tah and Florian Wirtz. The tournament starts on Friday 14 June (kick-off: 21.00 CEST) with Germany playing Scotland in the opening game in Munich. In the other matches in Group A, Germany play Hungary and there will be a meeting with Granit Xhaka and Switzerland in Frankfurt. See below for the dates and times.
The day after the opening match sees Alejandro Grimaldo for Spain and Josip Stanisic for Croatia in action. The two Werkself players face each other in their first Euro 2024 group match. For Grimaldo that is followed by the big match against Italy in the second group game while Stanisic and Croatia play Albania.
Group D also has some top teams with Jeremie Frimpong featuring in the Netherlands squad. Their opening game against Poland on Sunday 16 June is followed by the big match against France on Sunday 16 June. The Oranje team play Austria in their third game.
The trio of Adam Hlozek, Matej Kovar and Patrik Schick with Czechia in Group F are set to play Portugal, Georgia and Turkey.
ARD and ZDF will show 34 of 51 games live – including all the games involving Germany, the semi-finals and the final. RTL will broadcast twelve games. MagentaTV will show all 51 games in the European Championships, including five exclusively.

This afternoon, Saturday 24 January (kick-off: 15.30 CET), Bayer 04 host SV Werder Bremen, who are winless in their last seven league games. Despite a severely depleted squad and being a player down, the Bayer 04 Women made a winning start to their 2026 campaign. Coach Roberto Pätzold's team won 2-1 at newly promoted FC Union Berlin on Friday night thanks to a last-minute goal. Vanessa Fudalla scored from a direct free-kick (78') and Kristin Kögel (90+2’) in stoppage time for the Werkself, who were reduced to ten players on 68 minutes, on an atmospheric stage at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. As a result, the Black and Reds are now fifth in the table for at least one night at the start of matchday 15.
