Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has again selected Leverkusen trio Jonathan Tah, Robert Andrich and Florian Wirtz in his squad. The trio play Bosnia-Herzegovina on matchday three in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League, and then – as in the last international break this season – the Netherlands (see below for all match times). The German trio then face teammate Jeremie Frimpong who has been called up by the Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman. The first game for the Netherlands is against Hungary.
Germany are currently top of Group 3 in League A. Nagelsmann's side have picked up four points with the 5-0 win over Hungary and the 2-2 draw against Netherlands in the opening two Nations League encounters. The Netherlands previously beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 5-2 and are second in the group level on points with Germany.
Switzerland's most-capped player and captain Granit Xhaka is in his country's squad and his team first face Serbia and then group leaders Denmark in the next Nations League matches. Alejandro Grimaldo and Aleix Garcia, who like Xhaka are also in Group 4 in League A, have been called up to the Spain squad for the games against Denmark and Serbia. Spain are currently second in the group four points behind Denmark with Switzerland currently bottom of the table with no points.
Captain Lukas Hradecky is in the Finland squad for matches three and four in the new Nations League campaign against England and Ireland. Finland are currently bottom of Group 2 in League B. Matej Kovar with Czechia play Albania and Ukraine. Czechia are third in Group 1 of League B.
The Werkself duo are set to play in the next qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Exequiel Palacios has been called up to the Argentina squad with the Albiceleste playing Venezuela and Bolivia. Piero Hincapie is in the Ecuador squad for the games against Paraguay and Uruguay.
Palacios and Argentina are top of the table in the World Cup qualifiers with 18 points from eight games. Hincapie's Ecuador are also doing well in fourth place. There are no groups in the South American World Cup qualifiers with all teams playing each other twice. After 18 matchdays, the first six qualify for the World Cup. The seventh-placed team takes part in the intercontinental play-offs.
Three Leverkusen players are involved in the next qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Victor Boniface and Nigeria have two games against Libya. Boniface and Nigeria are currently top of Group D with four points after the two AFCON qualifiers in the last international break.
Edmond Tapsoba and Burkina Faso also top Group L with four points. After the games against Senegal and Malawi there is a double-header against Burundi in this international break.
Amine Adli and Morocco are top of their group with six points from wins against Gabon and Lesotho in Group D. The North African side now have two games against the Central African Republic.

It was a disappointing night in Athens: The Werkself lost 2-0 away to Olympiacos on Matchday 7 in the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League campaign. In a match that was intense and fiery from the outset, the high-pressing home side made the better start and took the lead through Costinha on two minutes. Although the Werkself had a number of chances to equalise, the clinical Greek side increased the lead to 2-0 shortly before half-time (45+1’). In the second half, Leverkusen once again gave their all and showed total commitment but, despite their best efforts, the Black and Reds were unable to break down the Olympiacos defence on the night.
