For Kramer, who ended up as the top scorer in her first season at Bayer 04 with 12 goals and was voted Player of the Season by the fans, the European Championship begins on Friday evening at 18:00 CEST in Geneva with the Scandinavian regional clash in Group C against Sweden. Denmark, runners-up at the 2017 Euros, will then face Germany on Tuesday 8 July, again at 18:00 CEST in Basel. This second group match will see future teammates Kramer and Wamser go head-to-head.

While Denmark's Kramer has made four international appearances so far (one goal), centre-back Wamser has made two appearances for the German senior national team. The 21-year-old moved to Leverkusen from league rivals Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of last season and made her debut for Germany in the Nations League against the Netherlands (4-0) on 30 May. The German Football Association (DFB) side will first face Poland this Friday evening at 21:00 CEST in St. Gallen before the clash with Denmark. The eight-time European champions will then face Sweden in the third group match on Saturday 12 July (21:00 CEST) in Zurich. Simultaneously, Kramer and Denmark will face Poland in Lucerne.
The first and second-placed teams in all four groups of four will progress to the quarter-finals. Denmark and Germany would play on 17 or 19 July. The two semi-finals will take place on 22 and 23 July, with the final in Basel kicking off at 18:00 CEST on Sunday 27 July. German broadcasters ARD and ZDF will show all 31 European Championship matches live on free-to-air TV.
