Just behind Kramer, who received 319 votes, was Vilhjalmsdottir, who finished as she did last season in second place. The player, who was on loan from FC Bayern Munich and who left the Werkself at the end of the season, also played in all 22 league games and contributed two goals and five assists. Kristin Kögel also repeated her result from last year by finishing third behind Kramer and Vilhjalmsdottir. The midfielder contributed five goals and three assists to Bayer 04 Women's record-breaking season, which saw them end the Bundesliga campaign in fourth place with 43 points, their best ever finish.

The third win in a row: Thanks to a brace from Vanessa Fudalla, the Bayer 04 Women continued their winning streak in the Bundesliga on matchday four.
