
The 19-year-old from Münster came out on top in several qualifying tournaments against a large number of fellow competitors in the search for the next #B04 eSports talent and he won the finals tournament in the new Gaming Lounge at the BayArena.

Together with Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr and Furkan ‘FURKY’ Kayacik, Lovrinovic will be in the hunt for virtual points in the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) with the Werkself. "With Marc, Mario and Furky we have put together a very strong squad who we think can go places," said Florian Dederichs, head of sponsorship, internationalisation and eSports at Bayer 04, looking forward to the start of the VBL season in the middle of November. Dederichs added: "We are confident of being able to compete again and are obviously aiming to qualify for the play-offs."

The German Football League (DFL) has announced the three candidates for Bundesliga ‘Rookie of the Month’ for February. Among the candidates is Werkself player Jarell Quansah. Fans of Bayer 04 can vote for their favourite on the Bundesliga app from now until Thursday, 5 March (23:59 CET).

The Werkself conceded a goal at home for the first time since the beginning of January 67 minutes into the game against FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday. Jarell Quansah levelled late on for the final score of 1-1 to secure a point and avoid a first home defeat in six games. Bayer 04 were very critical of their performance after the game.
