Matchday 21 kicked off at 17:30 CET against newcomers Osnabrück as Marc “MARC_LDW23” Landwehr and Mario “BULJI” Lovrinovic took on Josephine “PULLUJALLA” Ojih and Vinicia “VINICIA_BRC” de Oliveira Branco in the two-v-two game, winning 5-0. The following one-v-one match saw Lovrinovic wrap up a Leverkusen clean sweep with a 6-1 victory over de Oliveira Branco.
The second match-up of the day came against division leaders Paderborn as Marc paired with his cousin Sean “SEAN_LDW07” Landwehr but were beaten 2-1 by Jonas “JONNY” Wirth and Jamie “CHASER” Bartel. The ensuing two individual games between Marc and Wirth and then Sean and Bartel both ended 3-3, meaning Paderborn took the points.
The results move Bayer 04 onto 40 points in fifth place of the northwest league.
The next round of fixtures comes on Tuesday, 6 February with a triple header. The first opponent is newcomers Borussia Dortmund before match-ups with Hansa Rostock and Hamburg.
