The #B04eSports team can be very happy with the start to the New Year. Results have been a 5-2 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach in addition to two 4-4 draws against FC Köln and Holstein Kiel. "Now we want to go one better and regain a place in the top six," declared Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr ahead of today's double fixture Tuesday. A position in the leading group is definitely within reach.
The top six teams in the VBL CC qualify directly for the VBL Grand Finals. Landwehr and Co. are seventh after 13 of 24 matchdays but are only one point behind the team in fourth place.
The Leverkusen players first take on Schalke 04 at 18.00 CET. The Royal Blues are currently ninth in the table five points behind the #Bayer 04 eSports team. That makes a win for the Black and Reds even more important.
That is followed later in the evening from 20.00 CET by the matches against VfL Bochum who are currently level on points with Bayer 04 in sixth place ahead of the double matchday.
The matches involving the #B04eSports players are broadcast on the club's Twitch channel as usual. HERE is the link to the channel.

Hans Sarpei was born on 28 June 1976 in Tema, Ghana, and came to Germany with his parents at the age of three, where he grew up in Cologne. Even before he was born, his mother and father worked in Hamburg in the import-export sector. There they met an older man who introduced them to German culture and supported them. Out of gratitude, Hans was later given his first name, although this man died before he was born. Hans comes from a sporting family; his older brother Edward and his nephews Hans Nunoo Sarpei and Kingsley Sarpei were or are also professional footballers.
