An addition to the previous contract sees the agency also assuming responsibility for the area of key account/partner management from 1 July 2023. In future, this will be taken care of by a new team from SPORTFIVE under team leader Jan Reif combining the existing Bayer 04 sales team from SPORTFIVE.
"Last season was financially the most successful for Bayer 04 in the area of marketing and we would like to thank SPORTFIVE for their good work that produced record results," declared Fernando Carro, chairman of the Bayer 04 board. "But we are not only impressed by the marketing result. With the amended marketing concept and optimisation of structures in sales and partner management, we were able to drive forward one of our key targets – growth as a club and a brand – and create additional potential."
Bayer 04 Leverkusen and SPORTFIVE have worked together successfully since July 2007. Hendrik Schiphorst, CEO of SPORTFIVE Germany GmbH, explained: "We are very happy not only to continue our long-term good partnership with Bayer 04 Leverkusen over the coming years but also further extend it on the basis of our joint success. We thank Fernando Carro and his colleagues for their confidence and are proud to be able to drive forward the marketing of this top European club in the coming years."
