#B04eSports: Landwehr cousins Landwehr agree two-year extension

Last season the Landwehr cousins reached the final of the VBL Club Championship where they narrowly lost out to the VBL CC record champions RB Leipzig. In addition, Sean Landwehr again finished in the top 32 in the world at the FC Pro Open in London.

Josua Lehr, head of pre-sales and product development B2B, on the contract extension of the Landwehr duo: "We are very happy to be able to count on continuity with Marc and Sean over the next two years. Last season was the most successful to date for our e-sports team. We want to build on that and develop together. Both have clearly demonstrated in the past that they fit in with Bayer 04 both in sporting and human terms."

Marc and Sean on their new deal

Marc Landwehr declared: "The extension by another two years shows the confidence the club has announced. We achieved a lot together last season and I'm convinced that we can do even more. I'm looking forward to continuing to be part of this team."

Sean Landwehr said: "After the impressive last season it quickly became clear to me that I'd like to carry on at Bayer 04. We showed as a team what we are capable of – and I'm highly motivated to build on that in the next two years."
