"Christian Kofane is an extremely powerful and fast striker, technically gifted and very prolific. He will help make our game more variable with his strengths and he has the potential to be an important part of our team in the coming years," said Bayer 04 managing director sport Simon Rolfes.
The 1.89 metre tall Kofane counts as one of the big discoveries in La Liga 2 last term. He only joined Albacete from his home back in Cameroon in the autumn of 2024. After first playing in the club's U19 team, Kofane scored eight goals and provided one assist for the first team in 20 appearances after the winter break. "It's incredible for me that I’m able to play for a Champions League club after such a short time in Europe," declared Kofane. "I will give everything to take this chance in the Bundesliga. In the history of Bayer 04 there are lots of examples of young players who have achieved great things here."
