DFL confirms matchdays 8 and 9 – #FCBB04 on a Friday night
The German Football League (DFL) has confirmed details for matchdays 8 and 9 in the 2022/23 Bundesliga season.
The Werkself are away to Bayern Munich on Friday 30 September with the kick-off at 20.30 CET. Bayer 04 entertain Schalke 04 a week later on Saturday 8 October at 15.30 CET.

Tickets for season opener against Pisa SC
Calling all Bayer 04 fans: The Werkself will play Pisa SC, newly promoted to Serie A, at the BayArena as part of the season opener. The clash with the club from Tuscany is on Tuesday, 5 August with the kick-off at 18:00 CET. Entrance to the stadium with a wide range of entertainment provided is possible from 15:00 CEST. First session under ten Hag: Werkself resume training
It's back to business at the BayArena! After a two-month summer break, a group of the Werkself squad began preparations for the 2025/26 season on Monday afternoon. In the first session in Leverkusen, which lasted just over 75 minutes, new head coach Erik ten Hag and his coaching team immediately turned up the intensity, but also made sure there was plenty of work on the ball in one or two drills.

Bayer 04 sign Dustin Buck for U19 squad
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed the 17-year-old forward Dustin Buck. The Germany youth international joins from the youth set-up at FC Augsburg. The technically gifted and fast attacker will strengthen the Werkself U19 squad.
