The highlights of the event are the presentation of the Bayer 04 Women's team around 11.25 CEST plus the presentation of the Werkself on the big stage on P3 at around 13.00 CEST.
In view of the currently increasing numbers of coronavirus cases, we are unfortunately unable to offer an autograph session one week ahead of the first Bundesliga match at Borussia Dortmund. This is to avoid players catching the virus ahead of the Bundesliga opener, which would make them unavailable for selection.
However, head coach Gerardo Seoane and all the Werkself players on the stage together with the announcer duo of Pitti Dahl and Tobias Ufer want to stand shoulder to shoulder with the fans whose support is needed in the coming weeks and months.
On site there is the option of securing a complete set of Werkself signed autograph cards free of charge via a QR code. The QR code will be available from 13.00 CEST and will be shown on all the placards at the event. Bayer 04 are making 1,000 sets of autograph cards available. It's a case of first come, first served.
For the Bayer 04 Women's team, the new head coach Robert de Pauw, sporting director Achim Feifel and several of the players of the ambitious team will do a Q&A session with Pitti and Tobias. Thomas Eichin, head of the Performance Centre, will talk about the latest developments in the Women's and Youth sections at 11.15 CEST. From 12.45 CEST the CEO Fernando Carro and sporting managing director Simon Rolfes will talk about the forthcoming season.
There will be no lack of fun and games for the younger fans: There will be lots of football and action activities ranging from a bouncy castle, the popular Robokeeper through to the Bayer 04 Soccer School soccer cage for the chance to join in and let off steam.
There will also be wide-ranging and multicultural offer of food and drink throughout the day.

Standing on the pitch where the Werkself players perform - for many Bayer 04 club members, this wish became reality at this year's Members' kickabout. Around 400 active participants of all ages took the opportunity to experience the BayArena from a new and special perspective. And there was also plenty going on in the stands: The event attracted more than 1,000 visitors in total and provided an atmospheric end to the season.

Lying third in the Bundesliga, the Werkself made a faltering start in 2026 after the winter break, but gradually rediscovered winning ways and, as in the previous campaign, were among the top 16 in Europe and the top four in the DFB Pokal. In the Bundesliga, the Werkself also remained in the race for Champions League qualification right to the end. However, because setbacks repeatedly crept into the Werkself's performances between good displays and crucial games, it was not quite enough to secure a UCL spot in the end. A season with many ups and downs brought sixth place and qualification for the UEFA Europa League. Part II of the review of the 2025/26 season.

Following the final match of the 2025/26 season, the prevailing feeling was naturally one of disappointment after missing out on qualification for the Champions League. The Werkself finished the Bundesliga in sixth place, meaning they'll start the 2026/27 campaign in the Europa League. "But to talk negatively about everything now because of that would be wrong," stressed captain Robert Andrich following the final game, knowing that the past year at Bayer 04 was marked, more than almost any other, by the start of a new era and the courage to change – and in particular, the belief in a positive direction. Everyone was aware this process would need time. The first part of the 2025/26 season review.
