Smile please. The first half of the Werkself squad went in front of the camera for today's Media Day for numerous photos, videos and GIFs for the club's social media channels, this year's autograph cards and fan merchandising shoots. The youngsters Iker Bravo, Ayman Azhil and Zidan Sertdemir kicked it off in the morning.
In several places inside the BayArena, new signing Adam Hlozek and his teammates not only provided their best smiles but also proved their comprehensive knowledge of their fellow players. It's the turn of Lukas Hradecky & Co. tomorrow.
The best photos and videos will soon be available on the Werkself social media channels.
Gerardo Seoane welcomed 24 players to the training ground at 10.30 CEST. It was quickly down to business after a relaxed warm-up session: split into small groups, Robert Andrich, Kerem Demirbay & Co. primarily worked on combination play. That was followed by nine versus nine and later seven versus seven games on small pitches played with intensity and commitment. Particularly good news: Winger Moussa Diaby was back on the pitch with the team for the first time since the summer break. Defender Jonathan Tah is also back in Leverkusen and he successfully completed performance tests at the Werkstatt, the Bayer 04 rehab and training centre.
The Seoane team will be back on the training ground on Tuesday 12 July and the following day at 10.30 CEST. Both sessions are open to Black and Red fans. There will be an additional fitness session in the BayArena tomorrow afternoon. On Thursday 14 July the Werkself head off to the training camp in Zell am See-Kaprun in Austria for just over a week.

There was a lot of praise in the media after last Saturday's successful first friendly for the Werkself against MSV Duisburg (6-1).
The 17-year-old Iker Bravo attracted particular attention. The Spanish centre-forward scored the first goal of the season on three minutes before rounding off his hat-trick with strikes on 49 and 51 minutes. "Bravo! Here comes Bayer's next top talent," was the headline in the Bild Zeitung and the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger named him man of the match for his performance.
The time has finally come: There was great anticipation this afternoon as the Bayer 04 Women’s team boarded the plane at Frankfurt Airport on course for Mexico City. As with the Werkself at the end of May, Anna Klink & Co. have flown out over the Atlantic for five days for the #Bayer04MexicoTour.
As part of the centenary celebrations of Bayer Mexico, the Leverkusen Women's team have a number of media and PR events. In addition, the team under new head coach Robert de Pauw will play a friendly against the Mexican record champions Club América at Estadio Azteca.
Bayer 04 will keep fans of the Black and Reds in touch with the players and will report on the tour via all the clubs channels.
