In addition to the sporting highlight of the tour, the friendly against St. Louis CITY SC (3-0), the #Bayer04USATour also included other highlights such as the visits to the Bayer Crop Science research centre and the Ranken Jordan paediatric hospital. Also on the agenda: Watching a college basketball game and an NHL match at the end of the trip.

The end of the USA tour marks the start of a two-week break the Werkself. The team under head coach Xabi Alonso return to training in Leverkusen from 1 December. Bayer 04 have a friendly away to Rangers in Glasgow on 10 December and there will be a second break from training from 19 December to 2 January.

The Bayer 04 Women have kept their chance of qualifying for the Champions League alive in the Bundesliga run-in. Coach Roberto Pätzold's team won 4-0 at SGS Essen on Sunday afternoon, improving their record from last season to 14 wins this term. With 43 points, the Werkself equalled another record from the 2024/25 season and at the same time reduced the gap to third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt to two points, at least for tonight. Loreen Bender (4’), Kristin Kögel (41’, 68’) and Cornelia Kramer (89’) scored for the Black and Reds, who dominated the game to record their fourth win on the bounce.
