France U21 international Jeanuel Belocian joined Bayer 04 for the 2024/25 season from Ligue 1 club Stade Rennes in his home country. The full-back, who can also play in central defensive, signed a contract under the Cross that runs until 30 June 2029. Managing director sport Simon Rolfes emphasised in the course of Belocian's move to Leverkusen: "Jeanuel is a far-sighted signing - he will give us a lot of pleasure in the coming years and has the potential to become an important player for Bayer 04."

Bayer 04 have loaned defender Jeanuel Belocian to Spanish top-flight side Racing Santander. The 21-year-old defender joins the team currently ninth in La Liga until the end of the current 2026/27 season. Belocian’s contract remains valid until 30 June 2029. Last season, the 1.86-metre-tall U21 international was loaned to VfL Wolfsburg for six months.
