Ibrahim Maza was Bayer 04's first new signing for the 2025/26 season. At the age of 19, the attacking player moved from his youth club Hertha BSC and his hometown of Berlin to Leverkusen, where he signed a contract until June 30, 2030. Sporting director Simon Rolfes said of the Algerian international after signing the contract: “Ibrahim Maza is currently one of the most interesting young attacking players around. He fits in well with us and our style of football. He has excellent technical skills, is strong at dribbling and assertive, and has an eye for his teammates, whom he knows how to use brilliantly.”
