
"Cornelia quickly developed into a very important mainstay in our attack last season thanks to her enormous goal threat, but also due to her very high work rate, and she made an important contribution to our joint success," said Achim Feifel, Bayer 04 Women’s team sporting director: "She is a very ambitious player aiming to achieve even more. That makes her very valuable to our team."
In 2024/25, the Denmark international, who joined Leverkusen from HB Køge in her home country, became the Werkself's top scorer in her very first season. Her twelve goals in her first 22 Bundesliga games have not been added to this term as Kramer has only played four league games this term after being sidelined for several weeks with a muscle injury. The 23-year-old striker has earned five international caps for Denmark to date (scoring one goal).
"I'm very happy to be playing for Bayer 04 and feel very comfortable with all the people here, who have a lot of confidence in me. We have a great foundation we can build on as a team," says Kramer: "After the long injury break, I'm only looking ahead from now on, I want to keep scoring lots of goals and give everything for my team to compete with the top three."

The Werkself beat Olympiacos 2-0 in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League play-off first leg to claim a crucial victory in the Greek capital. After a focused first-half display with a number of presentable chances, Patrik Schick crowned a textbook counter to hand the Werkself the lead on the hour (60’). Bayer 04 and Olympiacos had only met twice before the current UEFA Champions campaign. After the encounter on Matchday 7 of this season’s league phase, the Werkself travel to face the Greek side for the second time in just four weeks for the knockout play-off first leg. The Black and Reds were dominant for large spells in mid-January but lost 2-0 after missing a number of presentable chances. A bitter end to the fifth showdown of the 2025/26 VBL Club Championship as the #B04eSports team failed to take any points in the three remaining matches of the preliminary online round of the fifth and final showdown, missing out on the offline round. They can no longer take points in the overall table. Bayer 04 slipped out on the top eight, so direct participation in the final event for the German Club Championship is no longer possible, with Bayer 04 having to contest the play-offs.
