Lilla Turanyi and Dora Zeller are also in action with Hungary: They face Russia on Wednesday 16 February at 20.30 CET.

Quartet away with germany

Two Euro qualifiers in a three-nation tournament – that is on the agenda for four Bayer 04 Women’s team players in the international break: Chiara Bücher, Clara Fröhlich, Lisanne Gräwe and Sofie Zdebel have been called up to the Germany U19 squad. Germany first play Norway in Malaga (17 February) and then Switzerland five days later.

Matysik misses out

The Poland international at the Werkself, Sylwia Matysik, is ruled out of international duty due to a knee ligament injury. She will complete her rehab in her home country.

Season review 2025/26, part II: Highs and lows of an eventful season

Lying third in the Bundesliga, the Werkself made a faltering start in 2026 after the winter break, but gradually rediscovered winning ways and, as in the previous campaign, were among the top 16 in Europe and the top four in the DFB Pokal. "But to talk negatively about everything now because of that would be wrong," stressed captain Robert Andrich following the final game, knowing that the past year at Bayer 04 was marked, more than almost any other, by the start of a new era and the courage to change – and in particular, the belief in a positive direction. Everyone was aware this process would need time. The first part of the 2025/26 season review.
