Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr and Co. face a really tough challenge tonight at 18.00 CET: The virtual encounter is against Hannover 96, the current league leaders of the North West division. It is a clash between two teams with the fewest goals conceded. While the top club have let in 43, the eighth-placed team from Leverkusen have conceded 53 (Borussia Mönchengladbach are also on 53). This match promises to be tense as the overall result in the first half of the season was a 4-4 draw.
There was also a draw (3-3) with VfL Wolfsburg in the previous meeting of the two sides. Leverkusen go into the second match against the eSports players from the motor city as slight favourites. The Bayer 04 Women clcoked up a 3-2 win in a friendly against Twente Enschede on Thursday afternoon in the last international break of 2025. In drizzle, Lilla Turanyi (16’), Kristin Kögel (65’) and Paulina Bartz (69’) scored the goals for the Werkself against the Dutch Eredivisie Vrouwen leaders, who are still unbeaten in the league.
