Norderstedt have forgone their right to be at home. One of the reasons is the comprehensive coronavirus protocols. "Even without spectators, there is a huge amount of organisational work for an amateur club with a home game in the DFB Cup and also considerable costs for staff and provisions for TV broadcasting that can hardly be covered without the income from gate receipts, so the club has decided to play at Bayer Leverkusen and offered to swap the right to play at home," Eintracht Norderstedt announced on their website.
Exchanging the right to be at home is normally not allowed; but the DFB has suspended the rule due to the coronavirus pandemic.
