Sponsor Club partner STIGA extends deal

Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the leading gardening equipment manufacturer STIGA have extended their successful partnership. As an official partner in the Sponsors Club of the Champions League participants, STIGA has already provided support to the Bayer 04 ground staff in the maintenance of the pitch at the BayArena as well as the other club training grounds. Under the new agreement, the company, based in Straelen in North Rhine Westphalia, has agreed a two-year extension with the current Bundesliga runners-up and 2024 double winners. The contract now runs to 30 June 2027.

"With the extension of this partnership by another two years we are making a clear statement for continuity and mutual growth," said Felix Duden, CEO of TecArena-Plus GmbH. "Thanks to precise, technologically high quality equipment our ground staff are supported day in, day out and that ensures first-class conditions – completely in accordance with sustainability and quality. I very much look forward to the continuation of this partnership on strong foundations."

Marc Gerster, the CEO at STIGA Germany and Switzerland highlighted the close tie-up between the two partners after a year of successful work together: "Bayer 04 Leverkusen has had a formative influence on football in Germany for decades. The Werkself demonstrate how courage, enthusiasm and passion can lead to success," said Gerster. "We also embody those values every day. Therefore, it was obvious to extend the partnership to the 2026/27 season. We are very happy about it!"

The contract with the STIGA Group, who are partners in the Sponsors Club as well as the official Bayer 04 Youth partners, covers a comprehensive LED perimeter package for Werkself home games at the BayArena. In addition, STIGA is also represented in media backdrops in the Mixed Zone and at press conferences at the stadium. Hospitality benefits at all home games, further advertising such as promotion rights at Bundesliga home games as well as digital rights via Bayer 04 channels complete the portfolio. One of the highlights of the ongoing partnership between STIGA and the Werkself on the agenda is a big pitch workshop with Georg Schmitz, head groundsman at Bayer 04.
