Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH is new partner in Sponsors Club

For the first time in 45 years in the Bundesliga, Bayer 04 Leverkusen are holding their summer training camp in Donaueschingen in the Black Forest. At the Öschberghof Hotel, where the winners of Euro 2024 Spain stayed, the champions of Germany and DFB Pokal winners are preparing for the new 2024/25 season from 28 July to 2 August. Bayer 04 have now agreed a partnership with immediate effect with Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH (STG). The tourism association, as the marketing organisation in the holiday region of the Black Forest representing 321 communities, is a partner in the Sponsors Club for the coming season.

Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH will have a prominent presence at Werkself home games at the stadium in Leverkusen. The logo of the new partner will be displayed on LED boards behind the goal as well as on the upper tier at the BayArena. STG will also take over the presentation of the remaining time in the game on the video walls at the BayArena. The comprehensive partnership package also includes a range of promotional, ticketing and digital rights.

With over 50 million nights' stay and more than twelve million visitors it is one of the most significant and well known holiday regions of Germany. The shareholders in STG are twelve rural and four urban districts. As a Black Forest wide marketing organisation, STG represents the tourism interests of 321 communities. They lead destination management under the umbrella band of 'Schwarzwald – Black.Forest.' Second game, second draw in the UEFA Champions League 2025/26: The Werkself were held to a 1-1 draw by Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven on matchday two in the league phase. After an early but brief setback in the form of an offside goal by Ivan Perisic for the visitors (5'), the Werkself took control and created numerous good chances in the first half. Leverkusen took a deserved lead after the break in the 65th minute through Christian Kofane. However, PSV's Ismael Saibari replied a few minutes later to level at 1-1 (72').

Bayer 04 beat PSV Eindhoven 3-2 on matchday two to clock up the next three points in the UCL Youth League 2025/26. In front of just under 500 spectators at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium, the visitors from the Netherlands led at half-time, but the Werkself turned the game round in the second 45. That makes it two wins on the bounce after the victory in Copenhagen.
