This is the fourteenth time Bayer 04 have organised the tournament together with Salzburger Land/Zell am See-Kaprun, represented by Yvonne Rosenstatter. Leverkusen fan Kieffer, who was the first German player to win a tournament on the European Tour since Marcel Siem in 2012 on Sunday, joined 70 participants on the course over a round of 18 holes. Of course, the 32-year-old also talked about his recent success: " It's a sensational feeling. It's pure joy. I had a great life before the win. Now that makes it even more special."

For Bayer 04, club legend Stefan Kießling was joined by Felix Duden (CEO TecArenaPlus GmbH), Dr. Karl-Heinrich Dittmar (Medical director) and the two former players Falko Götz and Tomasz Bobel, who still work for Bayer 04. Also taking part: Former footballer Holger Fach, Steffi Nerius the former women's World Cup winner in javelin and current head of the sports college at Leverkusen, plus the former referee Hellmut Krug.
The event was started in the morning with a cannon fired and no welcome speech from Fernando Carro, Bayer 04 CEO. The most important part of they followed at a joint meal in the evening: the presentation of the cheque. Kies handed over the cheque to the value of €10,470 to Reiner Hilken, chair of the ‘Netzwerk Kinderarmut Leverkusen’. Hilken: "A very big thank you goes to Bayer 04 Leverkusen who've been a regular contributor in helping out in many areas over the years."

The support network launched in 2008 currently provides food for 5,000 children in need in Leverkusen and surrounding areas. The special part: Not only is food distributed but there is also promotion of social cohesion. The children can also arrange menu plans and cook together with the specialist staff.

Tickets are on sale for the last two Bayer 04 Women's team home games in 2025. Fans can now purchase tickets for the matches at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium against RB Leipzig and the final fixture of the year in the Rückrunde opener against German champions Bayern Munich.
