In sporting terms, the focus today is exclusively on the Frankfurt home game. However, the UEFA Champions League is around the corner, which is why planning for the first European trip in 2025/26 to Copenhagen next week is already in full swing. As of today, all Bayer 04 Club members can secure the exclusive tour pass for this UCL season at the Fanwelt! All further information about the tour pass can be found HERE!
Home games against Eintracht Frankfurt have proved to be very rewarding for Bayer 04: With 25 victories, the Werkself have not won as many games at home in the Bundesliga against any other club as they have against Eintracht. Bayer Leverkusen have really built on that record in the recent past - The Werkself have won all of their last ten Bundesliga home games against the Eagles. Patrik Schick has been particularly prolific against Eintracht with five goals and the Czechia international has only scored more often against Hoffenheim and Freiburg. A goalless draw between Bayer 04 and SGE tonight is extremely unlikely as none of the previous 80 Bundesliga meetings between the two teams have ended with a 0-0 scoreline.
A perfect start to the season has seen Eintracht reach the second round of the DFB Pokal and be in second place in the Bundesliga table. Twelve goals from the three games are a testament to the strong attack made up of Ritsu Doan, who joined the Eagles from SC Freiburg, and the two youngsters Jean-Matteo Bahoya and Can Uzun. Six of the seven Bundesliga goals so far have been scored by these three. Following the departure of top star Hugo Ekitiké to Liverpool, sporting director and former Leverkusen assistant coach Markus Krösche also managed to maintain quality up front with Jonathan Burkardt (formerly at Mainz 05). Head coach Dino Toppmöller's motto is to be solid at the back and counter-attack with force. In addition to the impressive attack, he has also been able to completely rely on his back four including defender Robin Koch and new international Nnamdi Collins. Find out who else provides quality in the Eintracht Frankfurt squad and other keys facts in our lowdown on the next opponents.
Anyone wanting to discover the latest information ahead of kick-off can take a look at the new Werkself Live. The matchday magazine, which includes key facts and stats on the match, is available at the BayArena. Alternatively it is available free online. This time on the XXL poster: Malik Tillman. HERE is the e-paper.

Experienced 47-year-old referee Deniz Aytekin could make his last appearance at Bayer 04 in the home clash against Eintracht, as he is set to end his professional career at the end of the current campaign. His previous record in matches involving the Werkself is almost evenly balanced, with a slight advantage in favour of the Black and Reds. Of the 40 games he has refereed, Leverkusen have won 17, drawn nine and lost 14. Aytekin has handed out an average of less than two yellow cards per game. On Friday night at the BayArena, Christian Leicher and Eduard Beitinger will be his assistants on the touchlines. Timo Gansloweit is the fourth official and Benjamin Brand is in action as the video assistant referee.
In contrast to last season, the match on Friday evening will no longer be broadcast on DAZN, but instead on Sky Sport and streamed on WOW. As ever, supporters unable to be at the match can follow the game on Werkself Radio. The audio broadcast starts 30 minutes before kick-off with commentary provided by Niko Hartmann and Florian Bechholz. In addition, the live text update service will keep you up-to-date. Both Werkself Radio and the live text update service are available at bayer04.de and on the Bayer 04 app.
