The Werkself start December with a home game against SpVgg Greuther Fürth on Saturday, 4 December at 15.30 CET. For the clash with the 'Clover leaves', Bayer 04 will return to providing standing for home and away fans as was the case in the Bundesliga before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
The match against the Bundesliga newcomers is followed by the final game in Europa League Group G. The Werkself are away to Ferencváros on Thursday, 9 December (kick-off: 21.00 CET). Before Christmas and the winter break there are three more matches in the Bundesliga for Lukas Hradecky and Co.: There are Sunday games at Eintracht Frankfurt (12 December) and at SC Freiburg (19 December) with the team under head coach Gerardo Seoane entertaining TSG Hoffenheim (15 December) in between those two fixtures.
2022 starts for the Werkself on 8 January with a home game against Union Berlin followed by two more Saturday fixtures at Borussia Mönchengladbach and at home to FC Augsburg. The Bundesliga encounter at Borussia Dortmund is set for Sunday, 6 February.
