DFL confirms matchdays 14 to 18
The German Football League (DFL) has confirmed timings for Bundesliga matchdays 14 to 18 in the 2023/24 season. Read on for the fixture details.
Both the away game at VfB Stuttgart as well as the home match against Eintracht Frankfurt are on Sundays due to Werkself midweek fixtures. The final match of the year is the home game against VfL Bochum on Wednesday 20 December with a 20.30 CET kick-off at the BayArena. The New Year starts for the Werkself with two away games: Bayer 04 face FC Augsburg on Saturday 13 January (kick-off: 15.30 CET) and the following Saturday, 20 January, takes Leverkusen to RB Leipzig with the kick-off at 18.30 CET.

The next home fixture is here: Following the winning start to the UEFA Europa League against NK Celje, the Werkself host RB Leipzig at the BayArena on matchday 4 of the 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign. The match on Sunday, 20 September, kicks off at 15:30 CEST. At the pre-match press conference, head coach Carles Martínez spoke about the qualities of the opposition and the work being done to improve his team’s performance. 222 members from volunteer fire brigades watch the home win against Celje at the BayArena
A special visit to the BayArena: 222 members from volunteer fire brigades in Leverkusen, the Rheinisch-Bergisch district and the Oberbergisch district watched the Werkself’s 2–0 home win over Slovenian champions NK Celje live in the stadium. Bayer 04 had invited them to the 2026/27 Europa League opener as a thank-you for their tremendous dedication. They watched the match together in Block F4.
