Following on from Jarell Quansah's nomination for the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for February, two Bayer 04 stars are in the running for the Player of the Month crown in Edmond Tapsoba and Alejandro Grimaldo. Tapsoba played every minute of league action in February, conceding just two goals with his defensive colleagues and even getting on the scoresheet himself in the 4-0 home win over FC St. Pauli. Meanwhile, Grimaldo also started every match last month and once again proved to be a leader and driving force for the Werkself both defensively and offensively.
Bayer 04 fans have until 23:59 CET on Sunday 8 March to cast their vote. Along with the Leverkusen duo, Bayern Munich pair Harry Kane and Luis Diaz, Hoffenheim's Ozan Kabak and Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig are shortlisted. The final result is made up as follows: 40 per cent of the weighting comes from votes of the fans, 30 per cent from the 18 team captains and 30 percent from a panel of pundits.
