
The Werkself kick-off this month's fixtures on Friday 5 May: The team under head coach Xabi Alonso entertain FC Köln in the Bundesliga home derby. The kick-off in front of a full house at the BayArena is at 20.30 CEST.
The Bayer 04 Women’s team play third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt in the FLYERALARM Women's Bundesliga the following day. The home game against Eintracht kicks off at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium at 13.00 CEST on Saturday 6 May. Tickets are available HERE..
The Bayer 04 U17 team, unbeaten in 13 games across competitions, play again at the weekend: The team under head coach Sergi Runge start the main round of the special tournament in the U17 Bundesliga on Sunday 7 May (kick-off: 11.00 CEST). The first opponents at home at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium are FC Nürnberg. In the other games, the youngsters are away to VfL Wolfsburg (Sunday 14 May, 11.00 CEST) and at home to Mainz 05 (Sunday 21 May, 11.00 CEST). Entrance to the U17 home games is free.
The Bayer 04 U19s are also in action: The main round in the U19 Bundesliga special tournament starts for the Black and Reds on Wednesday 10 May with a home game against VfL Bochum. The kick-off is at 18.30 CEST at the Ulrich Haberland Stadium. The oldest Leverkusen youth team are then away to Hertha Berlin (Sunday, 14 May, 11.00 CEST), at home to SV Darmstadt 98 (Saturday, 20 May, 11.00 CEST) and finally in Munich to play FC Bayern (Wednesday, 24 May, 16.00 CEST). The home games for the U19s are also free of charge.

Following the derby against FC Köln, the Werkself return to the European stage: The semi-final first leg in the Europa League away to AS Roma is on Thursday 11 May with the kick-off at the Stadio Olimpico at 21.00 CEST. Season ticket holders and Bayer 04 members can still apply for tickets for the away game in Italy HERE.
That is followed four days later by the Bundesliga fixture at VfB Stuttgart on matchday 32. The kick off at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Sunday 14 May is at 15.30 CEST. Remaining tickets for the away section are available HERE at the online shop.
Match action returns to Leverkusen the following Thursday 18 May: AS Roma visit Leverkusen for the second leg of the Europa League in front of a full house at the BayArena. The kick-off is at 21.00 CEST.
The Bayer 04 Women face another absolutely top team in the final home game of the 2022/23 season: The current league leaders Bayern Munich are the visitors to the Ulrich Haberland Stadium. The kick-off on Saturday 20 May is at 13.00 CEST. Tickets are available HERE.

And the Werkself face challenges at the end of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season too: On Sunday 21 May (kick-off: 19.30 CEST) there is the last home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Tickets are currently on sale to season card holders and members. The Werkself are away to VfL Bochum on the final matchday (Saturday 27 May, 15.30 CEST).
And we will know if the Werkself have another game in the month of May after the hopefully successful matches against AS Roma...

Bayer 04 Leverkusen will have to manage without centre-back Edmond Tapsoba in the coming weeks. The Burkina Faso international returned to the Werkself from the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with a muscle injury.

The Werkself are away to Hamburg SV at the end of the Hinrunde in the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign. The match at the newly promoted club is on Tuesday night, 13 January (kick-off: 20:30 CET). In Germany, the temperatures are currently around zero, leaving even professional footballers freezing - but not the Bayer 04 Women. Roberto Pätzold's team have fled the cold to the south and are preparing for the second half of the season at a training camp in the Algarve, almost 2,000 kilometres away from home as the crow flies. The Leverkusen squad landed in Faro on Saturday morning and have already completed the first three training sessions over the weekend.

It was a disappointing Saturday night. The Werkself lost 4-1 to VfB Stuttgart to start the new year on Bundesliga matchday 16 in 2025/26, a result that left both players and fans disappointed.
