From Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah are in the first XI of the 2024/25 Bundesliga Team of the Season. Patrik Schick, Piero Hincapie and Alejandro Grimaldo extend the team. It is the first time Schick has been in the top 11 of the season.
Other Werkself players that just missed out on making the team will have a special card in EA FC 25 as part of the Honourable mentions. That includes Jeremie Frimpong.

This is made up of – as with the monthly votes for Bundesliga Player of the Month and Bundesliga Rookie of the Month – fans (weighting: 40%), the team captains of the 18 Bundesliga clubs (weighting: 30%) as well as a group of pundits (weighting: 30%) consisting of Bundesliga legends and selected media partners.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen continue cooperation with proven sleeve partner Talcid in the coming DFB Pokal campaign. In the current season, the famous Bayer brand – starting with the first round tie at Baden-Württemberg Regional League side SG Sonnenhof Großaspach on Friday – will be displayed with the historic chameleon logo on the right sleeve of the Werkself players jerseys.
