Werkself fans will quickly feel at home and find their way round on the new website. The new tidied up appearance and the clear structure of the fly-out menu, used to quickly find your target with a click, improve the fan experience even more. All content and pages are in German and English and shortly Spanish will also be available.

"With the new website we offer our fans the next high quality digital experience with the new 'under the Cross' brand image following on from the success of the Bayer 04 app. I would like to thank project leader Heiko Schulz and everybody who worked on the involved renewal of bayer04.de," said Tromp.
Here are a few features and highlights from the new digital offer:
Graphic elements like script, lines and coloured surfaces are picked up in the corporate design from Bayer 04. As the cross also belongs to the brand look this symbol is in various places on the website. A special highlight: In the background of a page not only photos can be placed but now also videos. For example if you look at the team page and the profiles of the Werkself players then you will see full details and facts as well as match footage involving the particular player.
Everything about Bayer 04: That is and remains the motto of the website. In addition to the Werkself there are, of course, the other teams such as the U19s and U17s, the Women's team, the Veterans team and the eSports players. A lot that fans already know from the Bayer 04 app can now be found on the website – such as the comprehensive match centre that for every game involving the Werkself will show line-ups as well as live text updates, stats, tables, scorelines, Werkself Radio as well as much more different information. Or there is the colourful mix of content from different Bayer 04 channels in text news, images, videos, social media content and stats. Compared with the previous online presence the important subject of sustainability will be considered even more closely with its own heading. And the Bayer 04 history will now be shown in detail under its own menu point. And supporters of the Black and Reds will find all the important subjects in the fans and membership area.
This type of navigation shows the user the whole page architecture at one look and also offers fast orientation. One click takes you to every relevant subpage.
Anyone who wants tickets for the next Werkself match at the BayArena, new shirts or other fan merchandise, can quickly get there with one click using the relevant button. There are numerous "jumping off point" content pages – for example the profiles of Granit Xhaka and Co. where you can order the required merchandise immediately.
That also applies to the opportunity to easily become a member of the Bayer 04 Club, the Teens, the Lions Club or the Silver Lions. The reworked search function brings up relevant search results when typing and sorts them according to news, videos and pages.
The new website can be used without hesitation (no barriers) by all users regardless of their restrictions or technical capabilities.

A bitter end to the fifth showdown of the 2025/26 VBL Club Championship as the #B04eSports team failed to take any points in the three remaining matches of the preliminary online round of the fifth and final showdown, missing out on the offline round. They can no longer take points in the overall table. Bayer 04 slipped out on the top eight, so direct participation in the final event for the German Club Championship is no longer possible, with Bayer 04 having to contest the play-offs.
