Bayer 04 Women: Winter schedule confirmed
After a break of almost two weeks, the Bayer 04 Women begin preparing for games in 2026 on Sunday. Bayer04.de provides an overview of the dates at the start of the second half of the season.
The first training session of the new year is on Sunday, 4 January at 15:30 CET at the Kurtekotten Performance Centre. Six days later, the team will then set off for a week-long training camp in Faro, Portugal. They will play Swiss league leaders Servette FCCF in a friendly on Friday 16 January at 14:30 CET. Back in Germany, the first competitive match of the year follows a week later. The Bayer 04 Women start matchday 15 in the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga on Friday, 23 January at 18:30 CET away to newly promoted Union Berlin.

Bayer 04 extend Abdoulaye Faye contract – loan move to Celta Vigo

Bayer 04 transfer Kerim Alajbegovic to Juventus
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have agreed Kerim Alajbegovic’s transfer to Italian record champions Juventus. The club brought the 18-year-old attacking player back to Leverkusen this summer via a buy-back option, following a season at Red Bull Salzburg. Until his move to Austria, the Bosnia international had been playing for Bayer 04’s Under-19s.

Start of preseason training camp: Werkself arrive in Weimarer Land

Home kit debut: Women’s team win friendly against Genk
With 22 days to go until the start of the Bundesliga campaign, the Bayer 04 Women’s team have gained a fresh boost of confidence. In a friendly against Belgian top-flight side KRC Genk on Saturday afternoon, coach Roberto Pätzold’s team secured a 1–0 win. Lobke Loonen (20’) scored the winner for the Black and Reds at the Kurtekotten training centre.
