Martin Terrier on…
…his home comeback in the 6-0 win against Heidenheim at the weekend: "I'd only played away from home since my comeback up until the Heidenheim game, so I was happy that I finally got to play at home again. I came on with the score at 5-0, so obviously the game was a bit slower then and sadly I couldn't score a goal. But the feeling of being back on the pitch at the BayArena was great!"
…his injury lay-off: "I came here to Bayer 04 last year with a lot of motivation, and five months later I suffered this long-term injury. That wasn't easy, but I'm an optimistic person and always think positive, especially in difficult times. Once I'd had the operation, I didn't have any more pain and soon made progress. Our physios said that's actually rare for this kind of injury. The work with them and the doctors helped me a great deal. I too gave everything to get back on my feet. I'm glad I'm fit again and am now looking forward to getting more minutes."
…his performances before his move to Bayer 04 (75 goal contributions in 141 games for Stade Rennes) and whether he can reproduce that: "Of course, it's difficult to compare performances that are a few years apart. Football changes and there are lots of differences to then - such as the team, the league, the country. Physically I feel like I did before. I will do my best!"
…coach Kasper Hjulmand: "He's a very human coach, he talks a lot with the players - even with those who aren't playing much. I think that's very important. This connection we have with him is very nice. I'll do my best in whatever position the coach puts me in."
…his teammates and the team's form: "When you have so many new players, it takes time for everyone to gel. We're still in the process of doing that, but we've achieved some very good results in the last few weeks and we're in strong form. We have a lot of good players, which stimulates the competition for places and that's always good. We want to build on the performances after the international break. I'm looking forward to the remaining matches until the end of the year."
