Martin Terrier joined Bayer 04 from Ligue 1 club FC Stade Rennes for the 2024/25 season. The attacking player signed a contract with the 2024 double winners that runs to 30 June 2029. In his home country, the 13-time U21 international played 201 first division games for Lille, Racing Strasbourg, Olympique Lyon, and Stade Rennes. Managing director sport Simon Rolfes said of the attacking player's signing: "In Martin Terrier, we have gained a dangerous, fast, and intelligent attacker. He will add new and attractive facets to our offensive play. Martin is a good footballer who fits perfectly into our team with his profile.“ Terrier emphasized: ”After seven years as a professional in France, it has been my great wish to move to a major club in Europe. It's great I can show my skills at the German double winners, and it's a special motivation for me."

Optimistic, energetic and back in rhythm: Martin Terrier made his comeback from a ninth-month injury lay-off around three and a half weeks ago. The Frenchman spoke to the media after training on Tuesday about his return in front of the fans at the BayArena and his period on the sidelines. The 28-year-old forward also discussed coach Kasper Hjulmand and the weeks ahead until the end of the year, which he's looking forward to with much ambition and anticipation.
