The fan version of the home jersey is visually almost indistinguishable from the one worn by Jonathan Tah, Florian Wirtz & Co. It’s simple, with vertical stripes in black and red giving the shirt a special lustre. The differences can be seen at second glance. The stadium version is made out of 100% polyester, with the Bayer 04 and JAKO logos printed in a silicone look. Main sponsor Barmenia on the chest and the Werks11 logo on the back of the neck are also incorporated into the fabric.
A further difference becomes clear at the checkout. The fan version of the home shirt costs €29.90 in children’s sizes and €49.90 in size S and above.
But regardless of whether you’re wearing the authentic home jersey or the fan version, your heart is still beating for the Werkself. And Bayer 04 is working flat out to ensure that fans will again be able to choose between the two options in time for the pre-Christmas season.
