Bednarczyk joins FC St. Pauli
Youth player Jakub Bednarczyk has signed for FC St. Pauli. Bayer 04 and the second division club agreed the transfer of the 20-year-old who has signed a deal to 30 June 2021.
The versatile player on the wings joined Bayer 04 as a 12-year-old from Bergisch Gladbach 09. Jakub 'Kuba' Bednarczyk progressed through the different youth teams at Kurtekotten, winning the Germany U17 championships in 2016 and he also made his international debut at youth level for his homeland of Poland.
Bednarczyk joined the first team squad in the summer of 2018. He made his debut for the Werkself in December. Kuba came off the bench on 83 minutes in the 5-1 win against AEK Larnaca.

The fans have spoken: Ibrahim Maza has been voted Bayer 04 men’s Player of the Season for 2025/26. The 20-year-old won the club’s annual poll with more than a third of the total votes. Vanessa Fudalla, for her part, has been voted Bayer 04 women’s Player of the Season for 2025/26 by the fans. For both Maza and Fudalla, the past season was their first playing for the Werkself.
